Meet Tenesha

WHY SHE LEADS THIS WAY

Tenesha Villanueva believes leaders create their greatest and most sustainable impact when they lead from who they are — not from pressure, performance, or depletion.

Where It Started

With nearly 20 years across education, nonprofit, and ministry, Tenesha has led from both the middle and the top — building cross-sector partnerships, strengthening organizational capacity, and expanding opportunity for students, leaders, and communities she believed
in.

She’s spent her career in service of causes bigger than herself: helping students find their way to a future they couldn’t yet see, and helping the leaders and organizations behind them do more with what they had.

Meet Tenesha

WHY SHE LEADS THIS WAY

Tenesha Villanueva believes leaders create their greatest and most sustainable impact when they lead from who they are — not from pressure, performance, or depletion.

Where It Started

With nearly 20 years across education, nonprofit, and ministry, Tenesha has led from both the middle and the top — building cross-sector partnerships, strengthening organizational capacity, and expanding opportunity for students, leaders, and communities she believed in.

She’s spent her career in service of causes bigger than herself: helping students find their way to a future they couldn’t yet see, and helping the leaders and organizations behind them do more with what they had.

The Turn

Somewhere in the middle of that work, she started noticing a pattern — in herself, and in the women leading alongside her. Deeply committed. Highly capable. Trusted with more and more. And quietly running on empty.

She began to understand that the most sustainable impact doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from leading from an anchored place — knowing who you are, clarifying what’s yours to carry, and returning to that place whenever life or leadership pulls you from it.

Her own journey toward being anchored to lead is what drives her desire to walk alongside women — and the organizations they serve — in their own journey to lead from that same anchored place, through coaching, facilitation, and strategic partnership.

WHAT GROUNDS THIS WORK

VISION

A world where women are anchored in who they are, walking in their purpose, and leading with intention wherever they are called to serve.

Mission

To create spaces for women leading in mission-driven organizations to reconnect with who they are, clarify what is theirs to carry, and walk in their purpose with confidence and intention.

VALUES

  • Faithful Stewardship: I believe our identities, gifts, influence, and opportunities are entrusted to us by God. I approach leadership and service prayerfully, using what I have been given with wisdom, care, and faithfulness.
  • Purpose: I believe purpose is enduring, even as roles and assignments change. I help women (and the teams they serve) reconnect with who they are and the contribution they are uniquely equipped to make.
  • People First: I believe meaningful impact begins with people. I prioritize relationships, trust, and well-being, creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, challenged, and supported.
  • Intentional Alignment: I believe anchored leadership requires alignment between identity, purpose, priorities, and action. I help women clarify what is theirs to carry, release what is not, and move forward with intention.
  • Growth: I believe leadership is an ongoing process of reflection, learning, and return. I help women (and the teams they serve) recognize drift, respond to changing circumstances, and continue growing into who they are becoming.

GROUNDED IN FAITH & FAMILY

Grounded in her faith, Tenesha co-leads a discipleship ministry at her local church alongside her husband. A military spouse and mother, she brings the same intentionality to her own life that she invites in others: staying anchored in purpose, recognizing when she’s drifted from it, and returning.
